    out of touch

I haven't had many chances to get on here since i got home,, i got busy cleaning up the shop, working on the honey-do list.. and trying to get all my other projects taken care of.. I got the body off of my buddies monte carlo, I got the doors put back on my 59(but the suicide hinges dont work right, so I need to redo them again when I get the chance), finished up the exo-cage, and harnesses, and started fabbing up a front bumper on my 98 dodge, and the rest of the time I have been seeing my friends and going places with the family!! Right now I am in Alabama seeing one of my good friends I havent seen since '07. Should be home thursday nite, Friday I need to replace the waterpump and make new front shock mounts for my big dodge.. because saturday I got a bunch of people coming out to go wheelin' up in my backyard!! I have had a great time home so far... I got plenty of pictures and videos to last me thru until I get home again.. But I wont be posting them until I get back over to UAE and have free time without stuff to work on!

I'll be looking forward to the pictures when ya get time. As for the suicide hinges I have installed a bunch of them, and the only thing I can contribute is that the hinge pin needs to be as close to the inner sheetmetal and door opening as possible to keep the doors from opening into the body. But I am sure you know all this.

Well I made it back to Abu Dhabi on Tuesday night... and I guess all of the equipment that I am responsible for missed me, because about half of it threw me a great big welcome back all this week!!! I have been busy as heeeellll.. but I think I have nipped the bugs out of it now and it feels that I am settled back in now (hopefully). between fixing that stuff and all the base expansions that got approved while I was home it will be a couple weeks before I can get back into my 7-3 10hr days instead of these 7-7 or later 10hr days, but it all evens out in the end!! But I still get my one day a week off so it is not too bad, and it has been upper 70s everyday so can't complain about the conditions..... I will go and post up some pics of how the shop looked when I got home and how it looked when I left now for you guys,, and a couple new pics of what I worked on and the 59 with the doors back on it.. even though I didnt get the handles moved it just has cheap poppers on her for now.. I dont like them!

Rastus.. I guess you didnt get the time to come up, It was a great time by all..... I ended my day about 1pm when I tried my 9ft wall and blew my t-case apart!! the recovery didnt end well either- blew 2 tires off the beads, bent up my steering rod, broke one of my front shocks, and blew a steering hose!! I finally got it back down the hill on the 1st and got the small things fixed up, time for some upgrades on the other stuff!! got a lot of good video though, just havent been able to upload it for some reason, it gets about half done and stops.... I will get it figured out when I get the time though
