it is so freakin cold around here.
that i decided to install a HEATERCRAFT 28000 BTU heater in this rod.
i have one in the willys and have been comfy at -30f.
i figured out a long time ago
i could have a solid gold rolls royce
but if i am freezin my butt off
    i will hate driving it.

    new carpet
i pulled the seats and shifter tower so i could cover the entire floor.
a bit of a PITA but i think it was worth it.
it looks lots better in person.
i am really happy with those boat seats so far.
i was worried they would aggravate my arthritic back.
    but they don't.

That look pretty cozy in there. I have one of those shifters that I will be using in my 29 chevy coupe for a turbo 400. I told you when you got that little truck in your hands you would have a lot of fun with it.
    LOOK at you go.

Man you are getting after it while I am sitting on my %#$%.
Anyways tomorrow is supposed to be warmer and won't cost as much to heat the shop. so I am gonna try to mount up the wipers in the 28 chevy, all the while trying to keep the crank up windshield operational. I should be able to get er done. Keep at it Billy.

Jenny picked up the chevy truck roof last sunday so it's yours. I gotta say Jenny and her husband are real nice people, and true hot rodders. we had a few rods here at the house, and she got a few pic's when she came by. Have fun with it and post some pictures with it on the truck.

Names are cool. A friend has a model a with a skull drawn on both sides of the cowl, it has large vampire teeth, and through the bottom jaw there is a large antique lock drawn, the old church key type. and below the drawing the word LOCK JAW. It fits his car to a tee cuz with all of the exposed rusted metal if ya cut yourself without a shot, it's all over.

got the plexiglass in the doors and used long strips of adheisive tape velcro as window regulators.
it works very well and was dirt cheap.
i got tired of having to reinvent the guts on these doors.
now i am looking for jute carpet padding as a noise damper/insulating material to put in the doors etc.
use some spray on glue and get busy.
i also need to reinforce the beds box walls to reduce rattling
at this rate i will have this car dialed in by spring.

once i get the insulation installed.
i am covering everything with black carpet.
that will add a bit of deadening/insulation itself.
a lot of guys say they want to hear the throaty roar etc.
but between the incredible wind noise
    the rattles and squeaks
    and the engine
    i cant hear myself think!
eventually i would like to have music in this car.
just because it looks barebones/old school
doesnt mean i cant have a heater ,tunes and be comfy.

It's looking good, and it sounds like you are getting after it. I like the name.
I still think that it will fry the tires given the right push.

they didnt know it was running.

i am toying with the idea of making a false sunroof for this car.
some kind of super tough and VERY uv resistant canvas to put over the steel roof.
with maybe snaps along the edges.
